This pamphlet contains two sermons Pearl Howard "P. H." Welshimer delivered at the Annual Convention of the Disciples of Christ in Pennsylvania. The first sermon talks about the church and what constitutes the church. He writes, “ The need today is to go back to the first century and reproduce that church of the New Testament. This will bring about the unity for which Christ prayed and will present to the world the institution which was not an experiment, came not from the brain and the brawn of man, but if the manifestation of the will of God and of His Son, Jesus Christ…. We are interested in presenting the essential things of the church and to note the unity that was to be found among the believers in the Christ.”en_US
