This thesis will analyze the potential layer of influence and hermeneutical ramifications of Wisdom upon Hebrews, including comparisons in compositional, form and thematic similarities (chapter I), followed by a discussion on their proposed similarity in purpose as paideutic texts (chapter 2), and illustrated with a comparative textual analysis demonstrating parallel concepts and forms (chapter 3). The final conclusions will address how this layer of understanding stands in distinction to traditional interpretations of Hebrews and the proposed benefits of such a reading.en_US
