Item A History of the Salt Creek Christian Conference(1976-05) Mossbarger, James W.The purpose of this thesis is to provide a concise history of the Salt Creek Christian Conference. This network of Christian churches has provided Christian evangelism and Christian nurture for the people of many Southeastern Ohio counties for more than a century and a half. The author's love for history and the fact that he received his early Christian teachings in these churches make this subject particularly appealing to him. In addition, since the writer plans to return to that area to preach, this study should prove to be most helpful to his ministry because it will provide him with a better understanding of the conference. The author wishes to express his gratitude to the Salt Creek Christian Conference for allowing the author to keep the five volumes of its minutes during the research and writing of this thesis and to Elon College personnel for their friendly and helpful cooperation while he researched their files concerning this project.Item Item Calling Out Your Name: An Inquiry Into the Relationship of Natural Theology and the Book of Proverbs(1998) Milliser, Gregory ScottItem Discipleship of African Tribal Women: Beyond Baptism(1998) Lines, Katherine ElizabethA thesis submitted in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Masters of Art in ReligionItem The Continued Importance of a Mission Moratorium(1998) Lines, Kevin PaulA thesis submitted in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of M.A.R.Item Exorcism Throughout Church History(2007) Lacy, Cameron RossItem Reflections on Aspects of Eve and Lilith(2009) Konstantopoulos, Kimberly DavisItem Contextualization in the Introduction of Christianity to Korea(2010) Creech, Daniel ColinItem Recovering Community: A Study of Relationship with God and One Another(2010) Ott, JaredItem Logotherapy: Meaning-Based Interventions for the Hospital Chaplain(2012) Ekstrom, Randall D.Item "Woman, Why Do You Weep?": A Christian Response to Female Circumcision(2012) Bauta, Sung HezekiahItem Passover, Temple, and the Histrionic Jesus: The Festival Context of Mark 11:15-18(2012) Poznich, Jared MichaelItem Walking Alongside the Dying: The Art and Gift of Compassionate Presence(2012) Schurlknight, JoannaItem Voices at the Table: Communion Meditations Based on the Writings of Christians Through the Ages(2012) Brokaw, TimothyA project submitted in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Doctor of MinistryItem Christian Churches initiating a partnership with the Shona Chiefs' Traditional Courts in Zimbabwe as an evangelistic tool(2013) Mushayamunda, DonaldIn this project, I highlight that the Shona African community of Matsai communal lands in Zimbabwe has its own centers of power located at the chiefs and Headmen's courts. I reflect on how the church, in its hundred years of presence lost the opportunity to touch the lives of the people more deeply by avoiding the chiefs court; partly because of the western idea of separation of church and state, and also the simplistic demonization of African customs and traditional structures. I accordingly make a proposal for the church to be contextual by initiating a partnership with the chiefs court at his "Table of Justice." Through this partnership, the church can dialogue with Shona customs, learn from the Shana elders, enjoy the confidence and influence of this "table," and in the process, contribute Christian ethical value to the Traditional African justice system, and attain community building outcomes that proclaim the gospel.
