Abstract:
Minnie Burns Fugate, Milligan College (now MIlligan University) class of 1940, was the daughter of former Milligan College professor and president Charles E. Burns. The Minnie Burns Fugate Collection contains a dress worn in the 1940 May Day Court at Milligan and a color copy of a program from a concert held at Milligan.
Biographical Note:
Minnie Burns Fugate, Milligan College class of 1940, was the daughter of former Milligan College professor and president Charles E. Burns. She was born in 1919. Minnie was married to John Fugate, Milligan College class of 1939. Minnie passed away in 2013.

The collection was processed by media type, clothing and paper. The collection is divided into two series: I. Series: May Day dress, 1940 and II. Series: Spring Concert Program, 1937.

The Minnie Burns Fugate Collection is divided into two series: May Day dress and Spring Concert Program.
I. Series: May Day dress, 1940 contains the blue cotton dress worn by Minnie Burns (Fugate) in the 1940 May Day Court.
II. Series: Spring Concert Program, 1937 contains a printout of a program from the 1937 Annual Spring Concert at Milligan College. The program names several students as performers: Burk, Frances; Burns, Minnie; Carroll, Grace; Johnson, Marjorie C. (music director); Lodter, Edward G.; Lodter, Juliette; Long, Eleanor; Norton, George; Rice Beatrice; Smith, Laura May; Turner, Elaine; White, W.A., Jr.; Willis, Jack.
